History of AI2 University
Established in 2024, AI2 was created to respond to the critical need for highly skilled, job-ready specialists in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Moving beyond traditional textbooks, we built an institution rooted entirely in applied learning, industry partnerships, and the European work-study (alternance) model. Today, AI2 provides international students with a premier, English-taught educational experience and a direct launchpad into top-tier tech roles across France and beyond.
Milestone 1 - Created for AI and Data Science
Founded in 2024 by DATAKOO SAS , AI2 is an institution built entirely around a single focus: training the next generation of AI and data professionals. Our mission is to move beyond traditional textbooks and provide rigorous, specialized programs that are applied, employable, and accessible to international students.
Milestone 2 - Structured Master’s Pathway
We offer a comprehensive Master’s track in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT, delivered 100% in English. The curriculum is strictly organized into five core competency blocks, ensuring a logical progression from foundational data engineering to advanced AI strategy, MLOps, and ethical governance.
Milestone 3- RNCP Level 7 Recognition
AI2 is a Qualiopi-certified training body, meaning we meet rigorous French quality standards for higher education. We deliver French State-recognized diplomas (RNCP Level 7), which carry full European Master’s degree equivalence (EQF Level 7 / 60 ECTS).
Milestone 4 - Growing Campus Network
We operate a strategic multi-campus model across Europe’s leading tech hubs. Our network includes our flagship campus in Paris’s prestigious 16th arrondissement, an IoT technical hub in Écouen, and regional campuses in Lyon, Bordeaux, Toulouse, and Brussels, plus a fully remote international track.
Milestone 5 - Deepening Industry Collaboration
Our programs are deeply embedded in the professional tech ecosystem. Through corporate partnerships with organizations like BNP Paribas, NELJM, and a growing network of European SMEs, we secure essential work-study (alternance) placements, expert guest lectures, and industry co-supervisors for our students.
Milestone 6 - Emphasis on Project‑Based Learning
At AI2, there are no theoretical-only modules. Our pedagogy is entirely applied, taught by active industry practitioners. Students engage in hands-on labs, resolve real industrial case studies, and complete a final capstone project to build a highly competitive professional portfolio.
Milestone 7 - Personalised Academic and Career Support
Every student benefits from a dedicated support framework designed for success. This includes a pedagogical tutor, a corporate relations officer to assist with alternance contracts, and a specialized international officer to support visa procedures (Campus France) and housing.
Milestone 8 - Integration of Emerging AI Technologies
Our curriculum remains at the absolute cutting edge of the industry. Students train on high-spec workstations with RTX-class GPUs and master state-of-the-art technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and cloud data platforms.
