Frequently Asked Questions
Can I combine multiple AI2 scholarships?
Yes — most AI2 scholarships are stackable up to a cumulative cap of 70% off tuition fees. The Academic Merit and Diversity scholarships can be combined; the AI Talent Scholarship is awarded independently and can cover up to 100% on its own. The admissions team will confirm the maximum reduction applicable to your specific file.
What happens if I find an apprenticeship contract after the year has started?
Apprenticeship contracts can be signed up to three months after the start of the academic year. Once signed, your remaining tuition is automatically transferred to the host company’s OPCO and reimbursed if you had already paid installments. AI2’s admissions team handles the administrative transition end-to-end.
What documents do I need to apply for the Diversity Scholarship?
A short motivation letter, the most recent household tax notice (“avis d’imposition”), and any document that attests to your specific situation (single-parent household, foster-care history, refugee status, RQTH, etc.). All documents are reviewed confidentially by a dedicated committee. Missing documents can be added during the review period — incomplete files are not automatically rejected.
Are my CPF rights enough to cover a full Master program?
On their own, generally not — CPF rights typically cover €5,000 to €8,000 over a career, while a full Master program ranges from €8,000 to €15,000 in tuition. However, CPF can be combined with employer top-up, France Travail funding, or AI2 scholarships to fully bridge the gap. The admissions team builds the combination for you.
Am I eligible for France Travail funding if I'm in career transition?
If you are registered as a jobseeker with France Travail, yes — and career transition is one of the most common reasons applications are validated. The most frequent path is the AIF (Aide Individuelle à la Formation), reviewed case by case based on your career project. AI2 supports candidates in writing the financing file and the project narrative.
Can international students benefit from apprenticeship contracts?
EU citizens have full access. Non-EU international students need a residence permit allowing salaried work, which is typically obtained after the first year of studies in France. Some specific situations (refugee status, family ties to France, certain bilateral agreements) allow earlier access. The admissions team can clarify your situation in a 15-minute call.
When should I submit my scholarship request?
Ideally at the same time as your application. At the latest, within 30 days of your acceptance. Late requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis but may face budget limitations once the cohort is full — the earlier you apply, the more options remain available.
What can I do if my scholarship application is rejected?
You can request feedback from the financial-aid committee, strengthen your file, and re-apply for the next intake. You can also explore alternative funding paths — apprenticeship, CPF, France Travail, regional grants, student loan — most of which AI2’s admissions team will help you set up. A rejection on one mechanism rarely means no funding is possible at all.
Can I get an enrollment certificate for my student-loan application?
Yes. Once you accept your spot at AI2, you receive an official enrollment certificate (“attestation d’inscription”) that French banks accept for state-guaranteed student-loan applications. You can request additional documents (program description, total cost breakdown, payment schedule) directly from the admissions office.
How does AI2 support me in finding a host company for apprenticeship?
AI2 runs a year-round Career Office: active employer-partnership network, weekly company-discovery sessions, dedicated apprenticeship-offer portal, CV and interview workshops, mock technical interviews, and a personal coach assigned to every eligible student until contract signature. The Career Office is part of the program — there is no extra fee.
