Looking for a master’s in France as a Thai student? AI2 offers English-taught MSc programmes in applied AI, data science, cybersecurity and IoT near Paris, open to graduates from Thailand, with a State-registered qualification at master’s level (RNCP level 7).
Thai students admitted to AI2 complete a pre-consular file with Campus France Thailand, based at the French Embassy on Charoenkrung soi 36 in Bangrak, before booking a visa slot with TLScontact. The Études en France platform was redesigned in 2026 and moved to a new web address on 1 October 2026, so some older advice no longer applies.
AI2 – Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an applied AI school on the Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Its programmes are taught in English and prepare qualifications registered by the French State with France Compétences (RNCP) at level 6 (bachelor’s level) and level 7 (master’s level).
Applying from Thailand: what is specific to you
The pre-consular route with Campus France Thailand
Because you will already hold an AI2 admission letter, you follow the pre-consular process, not the DAP or HDAP candidature rounds that run from October for applicants who have no offer yet. Pre-consular files are accepted throughout the year. Create yours at etudesenfrance.diplomatie.gouv.fr, the platform’s address since 1 October 2026.
Campus France starts work on a file only after the fee is paid, and you need the ID number generated by the platform to pay. For 2025-2026 the fee was THB 5,000 for regular pre-consular applicants and THB 3,000 for exchange or double-degree students; ask Campus France Thailand (bangkok@campusfrance.org) whether the 2026-2027 amount differs. Once your file is processed you receive a confirmation email. Print it, because a paper copy is requested at the visa appointment.
Thai qualifications and AI2 entry points
- Mathayom 6 upper secondary certificate, with mathematics: entry to Year 1 of the Bachelor in Applied AI.
- Two years of university study in a related subject: BSc final year (top-up).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or statistics: MSc Applied AI.
- Master’s or engineering degree, or four years of related higher education: the 11-month Fast-Track, from January.
Documents and translations
Campus France Thailand wants official transcripts: a scanned PDF of the official copy is fine even if the watermark shows, but unofficial transcripts are refused. Add your most recent diploma, an up-to-date CV and a motivation statement of no more than 1,500 characters, written in English for an English-taught course. France-Visas adds that visa supporting documents must be in French or English or come with a translation; the French Embassy publishes a list of translators. Looking ahead, Thailand’s accession to the Apostille Convention is due to take effect on 28 February 2027.
Lodging the visa with TLScontact
TLScontact receives applications at Sathorn City Tower, 175 South Sathorn Road, or at a place of your choosing through its paid Mission Apply Anywhere service. The basic service fee, about THB 973 at the chancery rate, is prepaid online to confirm the slot. The Embassy asks long-stay applicants to book at least one month before departure and names two high seasons, late February to late July and November to December; between February and April, an appointment can take several weeks to obtain.

Is there a Campus France fee in Thailand?
Yes. For 2025-2026 it was THB 5,000 for regular pre-consular applicants, payable before processing begins. Confirm the 2026-2027 amount with Campus France Thailand.
Do I have to apply in the DAP window if AI2 has already accepted me?
No. The DAP and HDAP rounds are for candidates without an offer. With an AI2 admission letter you use the pre-consular route, which is open all year.
Can I give my biometrics outside Bangkok?
TLScontact’s paid Mission Apply Anywhere service can take your application at a location you choose. Otherwise you attend the Bangkok centre on South Sathorn Road.
When should I book my visa appointment for a September start?
As early as you can. The Embassy describes late February to late July as high season and warns of waits of several weeks between February and April, so aim well beyond its one-month minimum.
