The Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence (AI2) and the Institut des Hautes Études de Tunis (IHE Tunis) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This French–Tunisian partnership builds a bridge between Paris and Tunis: student exchanges, new international mobility, pathways in computer science and business, with artificial intelligence built into every programme.

A memorandum of understanding between AI2 and IHE Tunis
We are delighted to announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding between AI2, an applied AI institute in the Paris region (Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord), and the Institut des Hautes Études de Tunis. A French institution and a Tunisian institution are committing to build pathways for their students together.
This partnership builds a bridge between Paris and Tunis and opens new doors for our students.
What the partnership covers
- student exchanges between Paris and Tunis;
- new international mobility opportunities;
- pathways in computer science and business;
- artificial intelligence built into every programme.
A memorandum of understanding sets the framework for cooperation between two institutions. The practical details of each action (timing, number of places, entry conditions) will be set out by AI2 and IHE Tunis as each one is put in place.
AI in business pathways too
At AI2, AI is not just for tech profiles. It is also built into our business pathways, to train managers who can lead their organisations’ AI transformation. With IHE Tunis, we are bringing this vision to both shores of the Mediterranean.
IHE Tunis at a glance
The Institut des Hautes Études de Tunis (IHE Tunis, or IHET) is a private higher education institution founded in 1998 in Tunis, in the Mutuelleville district.
What it means for students
The partnership opens pathways between the two institutions. Students do not need to wait for its first actions to apply to AI2, where every programme is taught in English:
- after secondary school: the BSc in Applied AI (€9,000 per year in years 1 and 2);
- after a bachelor’s degree: the MSc Applied AI and Data Science (Year 1 €12,500, from €10,500);
- MSc programmes lead to an RNCP Level 7 qualification, a professional certification recognised by the French State.
The 2027 intakes are in February, May and September. Students from Tunisia apply for their visa through Campus France Tunisie and its Études en France procedure. See tuition fees and Campus France interview questions.
