Which scholarships in France can Pakistani students apply for in 2027?
Seven routes, checked on the funders’ own pages. Two have a live 2027 call, two serve doctoral candidates and researchers, and the rest depend on the programme you join.

France Excellence Pakistan: the French Embassy’s own master’s scholarship
The French Embassy in Pakistan awards full scholarships to Pakistani students for a master’s in France. The 2027 call, published by Campus France Pakistan, targets programmes that help Pakistan adapt to climate change.
The call lists five master’s programmes at French public institutions: environment and energy engineering, biorefinery and biomaterials, agriculture and food science, One Health, and international economics. You apply through Études en France (two programmes also require their own platform), and only the listed degrees qualify. Computer science and AI master’s are not on the 2027 list.

Eiffel Excellence 2027: your French institution applies, not you
Eiffel is the French foreign ministry’s award for international master’s and PhD candidates. The 2027 call is open, and Campus France Pakistan reports Pakistani winners in 2026.
- 1Pick a programme that qualifiesEiffel funds a master’s degree accredited by the French government (or equivalent), a nationally accredited engineering programme or a joint doctorate, in seven areas including Mathematics and Digital Technology and Engineering Sciences. Master’s candidates must be 29 or younger.
- 2Get admitted and ask for a nominationContact Campus France Pakistan for advice, then the international relations office of the French institution. Only the institution can submit your file: applications sent by students or by foreign institutions are ineligible.
- 3Respect the 2027 calendarCampus France must receive the institution’s application by 6 January 2027. Results are published from 12 April 2027. The funded studies must begin between 1 September and 30 November 2027, so Eiffel suits an autumn start only.

Erasmus Mundus joint masters: one scholarship, several countries
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are designed and taught by at least three institutions in at least three countries, last one or two years (60, 90 or 120 ECTS credits) and lead to a joint degree or several degrees. Students from all over the world can apply, and several French institutions take part. According to the European Commission, programmes may offer full scholarships to the best-ranked students, covering participation costs and contributing to travel, visa and a living allowance. The page does not give a single amount, so read each programme’s own website.
You apply directly to the consortium running the programme. In most cases applications run from October to January for courses starting the following academic year. You need a bachelor’s degree, or to be in its final year and graduate before the master’s starts. Remember that Eiffel cannot be combined with an Erasmus+ scholarship.

University, regional and Campus Bourses scholarships
French institutions offer scholarships to their enrolled international students, and regions and towns fund students in their area. Campus France’s search engine, Campus Bourses, lists aid from states, regional authorities, companies, foundations and institutions, filterable by nationality; the 2027 Embassy call counts 134 programmes there for Pakistani applicants.
Campus France Pakistan’s university scholarships page shows typical sizes: a one-year €8,000 master’s grant at a Paris public university, or €1,000 a month for joint or research masters. Those examples come from 2023 calls, so read them as a guide, not as open offers. Once admitted, ask the international relations office which awards its students can request.
What is a scholarship worth in Pakistani rupees?
All rupee amounts on this page use PKR 307.8553 per euro, the ready rate for mark-to-market revaluation published by the State Bank of Pakistan for 28 October 2026. Amounts are rounded; your bank’s rate on the day you pay will differ.

Does a scholarship count towards the visa proof of funds?
A student visa file must show resources of at least €877.50 a month (Service-Public, page verified on 1 August 2026), about PKR 270,100. Campus France Pakistan lists the evidence it expects for the visa interview at the French Embassy in Islamabad: your personal bank statement for the last six months, or a guarantor’s affidavit with the guarantor’s six-month statement and ID.

The AI2 international scholarship for applied AI in France
For AI, data science, cybersecurity or IoT taught in English, AI2, the Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence, assesses every international applicant for its own scholarship.
There is no separate form or fee. Bachelor and MSc candidates are eligible, and the award can combine excellence (record and interview), early application, a partner channel and full payment. Stated in your admission letter, it applies to the first year, is not transferable, cannot be combined with other discounts, and assessment does not guarantee it. Intakes are planned in February, May and September 2027, with a priority deadline of 30 November 2026. Teaching is 100% in English at the Hub Nikola Tesla in Écouen, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Each final year awards the AI2 diploma and prepares a professional certification recognised by the French State and registered in the RNCP, at level 7 (master’s level, EQF 7) for the MSc. From Bachelor Year 2, work-study can move tuition to an employer’s training fund if you find a company.

Frequently asked questions
Can I apply for the Eiffel scholarship myself from Pakistan?
No. Only French higher education institutions can submit Eiffel applications, and files sent by students or foreign institutions are ineligible. Contact Campus France Pakistan for advice, then ask the international relations office of the institution that admits you.
How much does the Eiffel scholarship pay a master’s student?
A monthly allowance of €1,200 since 1 January 2026, about PKR 369,400 at the State Bank of Pakistan rate of 28 October 2026, plus services such as international airfare, insurance and housing help. Eiffel does not pay tuition.
Does HEC Pakistan offer a scholarship for a master’s in France?
Not for a taught master’s at the time of writing. HEC’s agreement with Campus France covers PhD or M2 plus PhD scholarships under advertised overseas schemes, and HEC states that Overseas Scholarships Phase-II is closed for new awards.
Who is eligible for the France Excellence Pakistan scholarship?
Pakistani nationals aged 28 or under when applying, with a four-year bachelor’s or in its fourth year, a CGPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 from an HEC-recognised university and no more than two years since graduating. You apply through Études en France by 18 November 2026.
Does a scholarship replace the €877.50 a month needed for the visa?
Only a scholarship that pays a living allowance can count towards it, and it must be documented with its amount and duration. A tuition reduction, such as the AI2 scholarship, lowers the school bill but does not replace the €877.50 a month.
Can I combine Eiffel with an Erasmus Mundus scholarship?
No. The Eiffel regulations state that it cannot be combined with another French government scholarship, an Erasmus+ scholarship or a scholarship from the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie. A student offered two must decline one.
How do I get the AI2 scholarship as a Pakistani student?
Apply to AI2 online. Your profile is assessed automatically for the international scholarship, with no separate form or fee, and the amount is stated in your admission letter. Applying early and a strong academic record are among the criteria.
