Looking for a master’s in France as a Pakistani student? AI2 offers English-taught MSc programmes in applied AI, data science, cybersecurity and IoT near Paris, open to graduates from Pakistan, with a State-registered qualification at master’s level (RNCP level 7).
Every Pakistani applicant for a French long-stay student visa goes through Campus France Pakistan before the French Embassy in Islamabad sees the file, so the route is more structured than in many countries. This guide maps the HSSC, A-levels and the 16-year BS onto AI2’s programmes, and lists the attestations and fees that are particular to Pakistan.
AI2 – Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an applied AI school on the Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Its programmes are taught in English and lead to French qualifications registered at bachelor’s and master’s level.
Applying from Pakistan: what is specific to you
How Pakistani qualifications map to AI2 programmes
- HSSC (FSc or ICS), or A-levels: the entry point for the three-year Bachelor in Applied AI. Holders of O- and A-levels obtain an equivalence certificate from the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), which requires at least eight O-level and three A-level subjects.
- An associate degree, or two completed years of a BS: this meets the entry rule of the one-year BSc final year (top-up), an RNCP level 6 qualification.
- A 16-year BS in computer science, software engineering, IT, electrical engineering, mathematics or statistics: the standard profile for the MSc Applied AI (RNCP level 7). As it represents four years of higher education, a related BS can also be assessed for the 11-month Fast-Track.
- An MS, MPhil or BE: the Fast-Track is built for engineering degrees, master’s degrees and four years of related study.
Fees and content for each programme are on our programmes page.
HEC and IBCC attestation
For direct admissions, Campus France Pakistan asks for SSC/O-level and HSSC/A-level documents preferably attested by IBCC, and for bachelor’s or master’s degrees and transcripts preferably attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). HEC attestation is now fully online and paperless through its e-Services portal: you submit the request, your university verifies the documents and HEC issues an e-Attestation certificate. HEC charges Rs. 3,000 per document and will not start the process if the personal details on your CNIC and on your certificates are not identical.
Campus France Pakistan and the embassy
Pakistan appears on Campus France’s list of countries covered by the Études en France procedure, and Campus France Pakistan states that all Pakistani applicants for a long-stay student visa must use it. It handles Pakistani nationals living in Pakistan, plus non-EU foreigners resident there. Its three offices sit inside the Alliance Française in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, and academic interviews are in person. Visa files are then examined by the French Embassy in Islamabad, with appointments organised by its provider, AEG. The detailed sequence is in our France student visa from Pakistan guide.
English proof for a Pakistani file
AI2 accepts IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 72 or schooling in English (see study in France without IELTS). Campus France Pakistan’s checklist for direct admissions, however, lists an IELTS or other English test certificate, so ask Campus France Pakistan whether an English-medium letter will be enough for its file before deciding to skip a test.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need HEC attestation for my BS degree?
Campus France Pakistan lists degrees and transcripts as preferably attested by HEC, so it is wise to have it done. HEC attestation is handled online through eservices.hec.gov.pk at Rs. 3,000 per document.
Is a 16-year BS enough for the MSc Applied AI?
Yes, when the BS is in a related field such as computer science, IT, engineering or mathematics. Because it covers four years of higher education, the academic team may also consider you for the 11-month Fast-Track.
I studied O- and A-levels. What do I need for the Bachelor?
An IBCC equivalence certificate, which converts your results into the Pakistani system. IBCC requires at least eight O-level and three A-level subjects to issue it.
In which city is the Campus France interview?
At the Alliance Française closest to the address given in your Études en France file: Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi. Attendance in person is mandatory.
Apply online: the academic team reviews your file and invites you to an online interview.
