Your route from Chile in 6 steps

1
Send your letter to Campus France. Send the original pre-acceptance letter to santiago@campusfrance.org. It must show the school logo, your name, programme, start and end dates, signature and school stamp.
2
Open your file. Do not fill Soy candidato/a. Go to Estoy aceptado/a and choose Una aceptación papel recibida fuera de la aplicación Estudios en Francia. If the programme is missing, click No encontré mi formación en el catálogo and type it. If no diploma type fits, select Formation d’école spécialisée.
3
Pay and send proof. The full rate is CLP 165,000, valid since October 2024 and subject to change, so confirm by email first. Pay at Banco Security, then send the receipt and data table to santiago@campusfrance.org. Without both, your file is not reviewed. There is no refund.
4
Attend the interview. It is mandatory, about 30 minutes, online or in person, and must take place at least 1 week before your consular appointment.
5
File at the embassy. Go to Obispo Donoso 8, Providencia, by appointment. Book only one slot, because the consulate rejects all if it sees several. Pay the equivalent of €50 in pesos, by card (no American Express) or in cash. Plan on 15 working days.
6
Arrive and validate. Validate your visa online within 3 months of arrival and pay the €100 tax.

When to start

Campus France Chile says to allow at least 2 months for everything, and the consulate cannot issue a visa more than 3 months before classes. Your file needs accommodation proof for at least 15 days. For February 2027, start now.

Student visa or working holiday?

France and Chile run a working holiday scheme with 400 visas a year. It lasts one year and is not a route into a Bachelor or MSc.

Is an AI2 qualification recognised?

AI2’s degree programmes prepare RNCP titles at Levels 6 and 7, recognised by the French State. Campus France states that the value of a French diploma is guaranteed by the State for national diplomas, Ministry-approved diplomas and titles registered in the RNCP. You can look up each code on the France Compétences website. See is AI2 recognised and all programmes.

After you graduate

The one-year job-search permit is open to master’s-level graduates, among others, so most bachelor’s graduates who want to stay continue to a master’s first. Any AI2 BSc graduate can progress to MSc Year 1. No school can promise a job or a visa, and AI2 does not. While you study, the student visa allows up to 964 hours of work a year.

Getting to the campus

Air France connects Santiago to Paris-CDG up to 10 times a week in winter 2026-27. Check the current schedule before you book. Also read visa guidance, the guides for Argentina, Peru and Brazil, and all country guides.
