Looking for a master’s in France as a Vietnamese student? AI2 offers English-taught MSc programmes in applied AI, data science, cybersecurity and IoT near Paris, open to graduates from Vietnam, with a State-registered qualification at master’s level (RNCP level 7).
Vietnamese applicants follow a well-marked path to France: Campus France works from the Institut français in Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, and every student visa file starts on Études en France. Below is what changes when you apply to AI2 from Vietnam, including the fee in force since 1 October 2026 and the translations Campus France will accept.
AI2 – Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an applied AI school on the Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Its programmes are taught in English and prepare qualifications registered by the French State with France Compétences (RNCP) at level 6 (bachelor’s level) and level 7 (master’s level).
Applying from Vietnam: what is specific to you
From Vietnamese diplomas to an AI2 programme
- Bằng tốt nghiệp THPT (upper secondary graduation diploma) with your national graduation exam results: Bachelor in Applied AI, Year 1.
- Cao đẳng (college) diploma, or two completed years at university: BSc final year (top-up).
- Bằng cử nhân (bachelor’s degree) in IT, engineering, mathematics or statistics: MSc Applied AI.
- Bằng kỹ sư (engineering degree) or thạc sĩ (master’s): the January Fast-Track.
Études en France, step by step in Vietnam
Holding AI2’s admission letter, you choose Je suis accepté on the platform, declare your study project and write your motivation letter in English. Pay nothing until Campus France emails a payment request, as a fee paid by mistake is not refunded. From 1 October 2026 the procedure costs VND 6,600,000, paid in your interview city, at the Institut français reception or by transfer quoting your name and VNxx file number. The Ho Chi Minh City office takes transfers only.
The interview lasts 20 to 30 minutes and is held face to face in Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City (at IDECAF, 31 Thái Văn Lung). For an English-taught course it is conducted in English, and the adviser compares your original documents with the online file.
Documents and certified translations
- Học bạ: your upper secondary transcripts for grades 10, 11 and 12.
- Your graduation diploma and national graduation exam results, compulsory for anyone who finished school in 2015 or later.
- University transcripts and degree, if you have them.
- An English certificate such as IELTS, TOEFL or TOEIC, entered in the language section.
- Your passport, which Campus France prefers to the citizen ID card.
Papers issued only in Vietnamese need a certified translation into English or French, made by the Justice Division (Phòng Tư pháp), a notary office or the Institut français translation service. Bilingual Vietnamese-English documents are uploaded as they are. Viet Nam joined the Apostille Convention with effect from 11 September 2026, but the Campus France checklist itself asks for originals and certified translations, not apostilles.
Visa appointment at TLScontact
France-Visas sends Vietnamese applicants to TLScontact, which has two centres: Pacific Place on Lý Thường Kiệt in Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. You may use either, wherever you live. Long-stay files are lodged between three months and three weeks before departure, and processing can take up to two months, so a September start calls for an early appointment. TLScontact’s service fee is €25, and all fees are collected in dong at the chancery rate. If you scanned your documents online, bring the originals only.
