Yes, Georgian students can study AI in France in English, with no French required at AI2. You get an admission letter, complete the pre-consular procedure, then file at the embassy in Tbilisi. Here is every step.
In short: Georgian students admitted directly to a French school use the pre-consular procedure with Campus France at the Institut français de Géorgie, at 300 GEL, with an interview. Your route from Georgia in 6 steps
When to start
Campus France says the file cannot start more than 4 months before arrival, and the embassy says to allow 3 months between filing and departure. Use the stricter one and start at the 4-month limit. February 2027 is tight from now on: May or September are safer.
A Georgian biometric passport allows short stays of up to 90 days in 180, but a course over 3 months needs a long-stay visa. Do not plan on entering first. Your passport must stay valid at least 3 months after the end of the visa requested.
How much money you must show
France requires at least €877.50 a month, or €10,530 for twelve months. See the cost of studying AI in France for a realistic budget near Paris.
Does a Georgian diploma get you in?
There is no automatic equivalence: the host institution decides. These are AI2’s entry points, and admissions confirms yours in writing.

English: AI2 asks for B2 level, shown by IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 72 or English-medium schooling. TOEFL iBT and IELTS are both available in Georgia, with British Council centres in Tbilisi and Batumi. Apostille: Georgia is in the Apostille Convention, but the Campus France and France-Visas pages we read do not ask for one. Ask admissions what it needs before you start. Back home: ask the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement how your title will be treated.
Funding
AI2’s scholarships for excellence and early application can bring MSc Year 1 from €12,500 down to €10,500. France Excellence Georgia is a Master-level scheme with Georgia’s education ministry and does not cover a Bachelor. Ask the International Education Center in writing before you count on it for an MSc.
Is an AI2 qualification recognised?
AI2’s degree programmes prepare RNCP titles at Levels 6 and 7, recognised by the French State. Campus France states that the value of a French diploma is guaranteed by the State for national diplomas, Ministry-approved diplomas and titles registered in the RNCP. You can look up each code on the France Compétences website. See is AI2 recognised and all programmes.
After you graduate
The one-year job-search permit is open to master’s-level graduates, among others, so most bachelor’s graduates who want to stay continue to a master’s first. Any AI2 BSc graduate can progress to MSc Year 1. No school can promise a job or a visa, and AI2 does not. While you study, the student visa allows up to 964 hours of work a year.
Getting to the campus
Tbilisi Airport’s route map lists Air France, Georgian Airways and Transavia France to Paris. Check the current schedule before you book. Also read visa guidance, the guides for Armenia and Azerbaijan, and all country guides.
