Islamabad is where every Pakistani student visa for France is decided, which gives applicants from the capital and Rawalpindi a practical advantage: Campus France, AEG and the French Embassy are all within the city. This guide lists those addresses, the capital’s computing universities and the costs you meet locally.
AI2 – Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an applied AI school on the Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Its programmes are taught in English and prepare qualifications registered by the French State with France Compétences (RNCP) at level 6 (bachelor’s level) and level 7 (master’s level).
Applying from Islamabad: what is specific to you
Three addresses in the capital
- Campus France Pakistan: inside Alliance Française Islamabad, 5 Street 55, F-7/4. By appointment only.
- AEG Islamabad: Offices 312-313, 3rd Floor, ISE Tower, 55-B, Blue Area, Jinnah Avenue. At €8.12 per file, its service charge is the lowest of AEG’s Pakistani regions.
- Embassy of France: Diplomatic Enclave, G-5. Students reach it on the Diplomatic Shuttle Service, which leaves from 3rd Avenue, near Quaid-e-Azam University Road.
Embassy timings
According to France-Visas, the embassy receives visa applications by appointment only, Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 13:00, and is closed from Friday to Sunday. A long-stay visa then takes at least 30 days after the interview, plus the time needed to obtain an AEG appointment. Living nearby saves travel planning but does not shorten processing. The full procedure is in our France student visa from Pakistan guide.
What to carry on interview day
AEG asks students to bring to the embassy the documents on the France-Visas checklist together with a CV, a motivation letter, the admission confirmation, a scholarship letter if you have one, all previous degrees and transcripts, the original NIC, your current and earlier passports, your AEG receipts and the France-Visas form finalised online. Applicants from Rawalpindi use the same three addresses and the same shuttle point.
Universities in Islamabad
The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has its main campus in sector H-12, where the National Science and Technology Park, a technology park, operates within the campus. Quaid-i-Azam University, COMSATS University Islamabad and FAST-NUCES’s Islamabad campus also teach computer science. If you have completed two years of a BS and want to finish abroad, the BSc final year is the option; with a completed 16-year BS, apply for the MSc.
Getting to Paris
Islamabad International Airport serves both the capital and Rawalpindi. In Paris, the AI2 campus at Écouen is 22 minutes from Gare du Nord, and our student accommodation guide covers housing options.
