Karachi applicants have the Campus France office and the AEG visa desk within Clifton, which keeps most of the paperwork in one district. The exception is the student visa interview, held at the French Embassy in Islamabad. Below you will find the Karachi addresses, the city’s computing institutions and the costs you meet locally.
AI2 – Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an applied AI school on the Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Its programmes are taught in English and prepare qualifications registered by the French State with France Compétences (RNCP) at level 6 (bachelor’s level) and level 7 (master’s level).
Applying from Karachi: what is specific to you
Two offices in Clifton
- Campus France Pakistan, Karachi office: inside the Alliance Française de Karachi, Plot/St-1, Kehkashan, Block 8 Clifton, near Teen Talwar. The Alliance’s reception is open Monday to Friday 10:00 to 18:30 and Saturday 10:00 to 13:30, but Campus France meetings require an appointment.
- AEG Karachi: Office 201-202, 2nd Floor, Emerald Tower, G-19, Block 5, KDA Scheme, Clifton. It takes French visa appointments; Karachi’s UAN is 021-111-786-111.
Your Études en France fee is also paid to the Alliance Française de Karachi account, so for a Karachi applicant every Campus France step happens in the same institution. Applicants elsewhere in Sindh may find that Karachi is also their nearest interview venue, and AEG lists a Leopard partner collection point in Hyderabad.
The interview trip to Islamabad
Campus France Pakistan books student visa appointments with AEG for the French Embassy in the capital’s Diplomatic Enclave, so plan a trip north around the date on your AEG notice. Our France student visa from Pakistan guide explains the order of each step, and the Pakistan country guide covers attestation and qualifications.
Karachi’s universities
NED University of Engineering & Technology, on University Road, has offered an MS in Artificial Intelligence through its Computer and Information Systems Engineering department since spring 2021. The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi has a School of Mathematics and Computer Science, and FAST-NUCES has a Karachi campus. A 16-year BS from these institutions leads to the MSc Applied AI, while an MS in a related field fits the 11-month Fast-Track.
A financial city
Karachi is home to the State Bank of Pakistan’s head office and the Pakistan Stock Exchange. For students drawn to banking and finance, AI2’s Data Science and Cybersecurity tracks connect directly to the kind of work done in those institutions.
Jinnah International Airport is the city’s international gateway. In France, the campus at Écouen is 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord; see working in France after graduation for what comes after the degree.
