Nairobi students have everything a French student visa requires within the city: the Campus France office, the TLScontact visa centre and direct flights to Paris from JKIA. This page covers those local addresses and how Nairobi degrees connect to AI2’s programmes; national rules, such as the Campus France fee, are explained in our Kenya guide.
AI2 – Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an applied AI school on the Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Its programmes are taught in English and prepare qualifications registered by the French State with France Compétences (RNCP) at level 6 (bachelor’s level) and level 7 (master’s level).

Nairobi universities and the city’s tech scene
Computing and related graduates from Nairobi institutions such as the University of Nairobi (Department of Computing and Informatics), Strathmore University in Madaraka, USIU-Africa off Thika Road and the Technical University of Kenya on Haile Selassie Avenue hold the kind of bachelor’s the MSc looks for. None of these universities has any affiliation with AI2. If you studied elsewhere in Kenya, the same entry rules apply.
At Strathmore, the @iLabAfrica centre on Keri Road works on ICT research and innovation and has units in data science, cybersecurity and IoT. Those are the three specialisms of AI2’s MSc, so projects or events you have joined there are worth describing in your application.
