Looking for a master’s in France as a Turkish student? AI2 offers English-taught MSc programmes in applied AI, data science, cybersecurity and IoT near Paris, open to graduates from Türkiye, with a French State qualification at master’s level (RNCP level 7).
In Türkiye the French visa network runs four application centres and Campus France keeps offices in three cities. This guide explains how a lise diploma, an önlisans or a lisans lines up with AI2’s programmes, and how the Campus France step fits around your VFS Global appointment.
AI2 – Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an applied AI school on the Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Its programmes are taught in English and prepare French State qualifications registered with France Compétences (RNCP) at level 6 (bachelor’s level) and level 7 (master’s level).
Applying from Türkiye: what is specific to you
From lise, önlisans or lisans to the right AI2 programme
Turkish higher education is built on two-year önlisans (associate) programmes worth 120 ECTS and four-year lisans degrees worth 240 ECTS, with places allocated through the YKS examinations run by ÖSYM. Here is how those stages compare with AI2’s programmes; the academic team decides after your online interview.
- Lise diploma with mathematics: the Bachelor in Applied AI, three years, RNCP level 6.
- Önlisans in computing or a related subject: two years of higher education, which is the entry level for the BSc final-year top-up (RNCP level 6, from €9,900).
- Lisans in computer science, engineering, mathematics or statistics: the MSc Applied AI, with a Data Science, Cybersecurity or IoT track (RNCP level 7).
- Lisans in a closely related field: as a four-year degree, it may also be considered for the 11-month Fast-Track that starts in January, subject to the academic team’s review.
Campus France Türkiye: three offices, email only
Campus France Türkiye works within the Institut français network, with offices in Ankara (Yıldız), Istanbul (İstiklal Caddesi, at the French Consulate) and Izmir (Alsancak). The offices are reached by email only. For a long-stay study visa your file goes through Campus France first; you then use the number it gives you on the VFS Global form, without posting any documents to Campus France. New Campus France fees apply from 1 October 2026: ask the office for the current amounts.
Ankara or Istanbul: which consular district you belong to
Visa decisions are taken either by the French Embassy in Ankara or by the Consulate General in Istanbul, according to where you live. At the appointment you must show a residence certificate (ikamet) in your name that proves your district. VFS Global receives files in Ankara (Çankaya), Istanbul (Şişli), Izmir (Konak) and Gaziantep. France-Visas states that the visa fee is paid in euros only, while the €30 VFS service fee is paid in cash at the centre, with change given in Turkish lira. Campus France Türkiye adds that the visa can be requested at the earliest three months, and at the latest three weeks, before departure.
e-Devlet certificates, apostille and English tests
- Your barcoded graduate certificate (Yükseköğretim Mezun Belgesi) can be generated on e-Devlet from YÖK records, and the barcode lets the recipient check it online.
- Still in your final year? Campus France Türkiye accepts an attestation de réussite in place of the diploma for the visa file.
- Türkiye has applied the Hague Apostille Convention since 1985, so if a French authority asks you to authenticate a document, an apostille replaces consular legalisation.
- The British Council runs IELTS in Türkiye and ETS lists the country for the TOEFL iBT, so you can reach IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 72 at home. A lisans taught fully in English may count instead: see studying in France without IELTS.
