Looking for a master’s in data science in Paris, taught in English? Paris is one of Europe’s busiest data and AI job markets, and you can now study data science there without speaking French. This guide uses AI2’s MSc Applied AI and Data Science to show what a complete, applied programme looks like.
What you learn in an applied data science master’s
- Build data pipelines: data engineering, information-system architecture, cloud and DevOps.
- Train and evaluate models: machine learning and deep learning with PyTorch and TensorFlow, feature engineering and evaluation.
- Build with language models: generative AI, retrieval and AI agents.
- Apply computer vision to real images and industrial cases.
- Deploy and monitor: MLOps, from prototype to production.
- Architect responsibly: cloud, IoT and edge architecture, zero trust, GDPR and the EU AI Act.
At AI2 the two-year route totals 1,000 hours of applied AI — a 500-hour shared foundation, then a 500-hour Data Science year — followed by six months in a company. It prepares for the French State-registered title RNCP39978 (Level 7, master’s level).
