Looking for a master’s in France as a Egyptian student? AI2 offers English-taught MSc programmes in applied AI, data science, cybersecurity and IoT near Paris, open to graduates from Egypt, with a French State qualification at master’s level (RNCP level 7).
In Egypt, Campus France is a required stage: TLScontact will not take a long-stay student file that has not first been through Campus France Egypte. An AI2 offer is issued outside the Études en France catalogue, so your file follows the paper-acceptance path, with a fee and a pre-consular interview.
AI2 – Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an applied AI school on the Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Its programmes are taught in English and lead to French qualifications registered at bachelor’s and master’s level.
Applying from Egypt: what is specific to you
Thanaweya Amma, bachelor’s degrees and AI2 entry points
Campus France Egypte asks Thanaweya Amma holders for the certificate and transcripts, plus every diploma and transcript earned since. Egyptian bachelor’s degrees usually last four years, technical ones often five. Indicatively, subject to the academic team’s review:
- Thanaweya Amma with mathematics: the Bachelor in Applied AI (three years, RNCP level 6, from €9,000 a year after the AI2 scholarship).
- Two completed years of a computing or engineering bachelor’s: the BSc final-year top-up (RNCP level 6, from €9,900).
- A bachelor’s in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or statistics: the MSc Applied AI in Data Science, Cybersecurity or IoT.
- A five-year engineering degree or a four-year related bachelor’s: possibly the 11-month Fast-Track starting in January.
The “Je suis accepté” route for an AI2 offer
Campus France Egypte describes the pre-consular procedure as compulsory for Egyptians, and for non-Schengen nationals living in Egypt, who will study in France for 90 days or more. For an admission obtained outside the platform, the sequence is:
- create an Études en France account and open a je suis accepté file;
- select the acceptance received outside the platform, then Je suis dans un autre cas and Autre, and describe the AI2 programme (year of entry, level, qualification);
- upload the admission letter, which must show the start date, level, programme and language of teaching;
- wait for Campus France Egypte to check the file, send the fee payment details and invite you to a pre-consular interview;
- after the interview, print the attestation d’acceptations PDF and book TLScontact.
Run this between six months and four weeks before departure; outside that window Campus France Egypte does not guarantee to process the file in time. France-Visas also asks student applicants to hold their provisional registration with a CEF number, issued through the Institut français in Cairo, before going to TLScontact. Campus France Egypte has offices in Cairo and Alexandria.
TLScontact centres and the Consulate General in Cairo
All visa decisions in Egypt are made by the Consulate General of France in Cairo. Files are received by TLScontact in Cairo (Sheikh Zayed City, 6th of October), East Cairo (Sodic Eastown, New Cairo), Alexandria (Bab Sharqi) and Hurghada. Service fees are set in euros and paid in cash in Egyptian pounds. France-Visas suggests booking at least two months before departure, as the consulate needs around ten days once a file is complete.
Translations, authentication and English tests
- Campus France Egypte accepts documents in French or English; anything in Arabic needs a sworn translation, and it publishes a list of translation offices whose signatures are registered with the French Consulate General in Cairo.
- Egypt is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, so authentication, where requested, means legalisation. Ask the consulate which documents it applies to.
- The British Council offers IELTS in ten locations across Egypt and ETS lists Egypt for the TOEFL iBT. English-medium graduates can read studying in France without IELTS.

Frequently asked questions
Which acceptance option do I choose on Études en France for an AI2 offer?
Choose the acceptance received outside the Études en France platform, then “Je suis dans un autre cas” and “Autre”, and describe the programme. Campus France Egypte then contacts you about the fee and the interview.
Can I go straight to TLScontact with my AI2 admission?
No. Campus France Egypte states that you cannot go to TLScontact without completing its procedure first, unless your stay in France is shorter than 90 days.
Where can I lodge my visa if I live outside Cairo?
TLScontact also has centres in Alexandria and Hurghada, alongside its two Cairo sites; the consulate in Cairo accepts files by appointment too. The decision is always taken in Cairo.
Do my Arabic certificates have to be translated?
Yes, unless they are already in French or English. Campus France Egypte asks for translations by a sworn translator and publishes a list of offices registered with the French consulate.
