Applying from Bengaluru: what is specific to you
Campus France at the Alliance Française, Vasanth Nagar
The Bengaluru desk sits in the Alliance Française de Bangalore, 108 Thimmaiah Road, Kaverappa Layout, Vasanth Nagar. It has two managers, reachable at bangalore@india-campusfrance.org and bangalore2@india-campusfrance.org. Because demand is high, the office encourages contact via WhatsApp for a quicker response.
VFS in J.P. Nagar, decisions at the Bengaluru consulate
French visa files are lodged with VFS Global at Gopalan Innovation Mall, 22 Bannerghatta Main Road, Sarakki Industrial Layout, 3rd Phase, J.P. Nagar, between 08:00 and 16:00 on weekdays, appointment required. The Consulate General of France in Bengaluru then decides; its district is Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with a Bureau de France in Hyderabad. For coastal Karnataka, VFS also lists a temporary service point in Mangalore that opens on one or two Saturdays a month. Documents and timing are covered once, for all of India, in our France student visa from India guide.
From Bengaluru campuses to AI2 programmes
The city’s graduates come from institutions such as the Indian Institute of Science, IIIT Bangalore in Electronics City (Hosur Road), RV College of Engineering on Mysuru Road, BMS College of Engineering in Basavanagudi and the Sambhram Institutions. If you are already working, the 11-month Fast-Track (January start) suits holders of an engineering degree or a master’s. With a three-year degree, aim for the MSc Applied AI. Two completed years of higher education lead to the BSc final year. The AI2 interview takes place online, which makes it easy to fit around a working day in the city.
