Students in Mysuru complete the French formalities in Bengaluru: the Campus France office, the visa centre and Air France’s Paris flights are all in the state capital. This page sets out how a Mysuru applicant can organise each step from home and keep trips to the capital to a minimum.
AI2 – Applied Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an applied AI school on the Écouen campus, 22 minutes from Paris Gare du Nord. Its programmes are taught in English and lead to French qualifications registered at bachelor’s and master’s level.
Applying from Mysuru: what is specific to you
Your Bengaluru addresses
- Campus France Bangalore: Alliance Française de Bangalore, 108 Thimmaiah Road, Vasanth Nagar.
- VFS Global centre for France: Gopalan Innovation Mall, No. 22 Bannerghatta Main Road, J.P. Nagar 3rd Phase. Applications Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., by appointment.
- Decision-making post: the Consulate General of France in Bengaluru is one of the French posts that examine visa applications filed in India.
The two Bengaluru addresses are in different parts of the city, so check travel times from the bus or railway station before choosing an appointment time. For the interview, Campus France India wants to see the original of each document alongside one set of photocopies, which are verified and handed back to you. If you are targeting the January Fast-Track, open your Études en France file in the early autumn: VFS will not take a long-stay application more than six months ahead of departure, and needs it at least a month before.
Mysuru’s engineering and training base
JSS Science and Technology University and The National Institute of Engineering, which has two campuses in the city, are among Mysuru’s engineering institutions. Infosys runs its Global Education Center, the company’s large training campus for new recruits, in Mysuru. Many local graduates hold a four-year B.E.; with that degree in a related field, you can choose between the MSc Applied AI and the 11-month Fast-Track, which is open to holders of an engineering degree.
Departing from Bengaluru
Your international departure will normally be from Kempegowda International Airport (BLR). Air France serves Paris-Charles de Gaulle from Bengaluru, and its 2026 summer schedule adds extra Bengaluru flights. Reach the airport by road or rail from Mysuru, leaving a generous margin for city traffic around Bengaluru.
